What do I need to be able to stream? *Obviously you need to have barn cams set up. If you can route them into your house to be seen on your tv, you can get them here with very little work! If you don't already have a barn cam, it's important to choose wisely! Wireless is nice to have, but can go a bit fuzzy with certain other interferences. Cordless phones, microwaves, tv and radio towers nearby can affect their signal. It's best to have a wired cam when possible. But, depending on your setup, wireless may be the way to go. My suggestion for researching this issue would be to go to http://www.foalingcamera.com . *You'll need a computer with Windows 2000 or later operating system. On this computer, you must be able to open ports on your firewall, your router, and your spyware/antivirus programs
*Then, you'll need a video capture card. This is a device that captures your analog camera signal, and turns it into a digital signal that your computer can read. I personally use the Dazzle DVD Recorder (DVC 100). Whichever capture card you choose needs to work with your computers operating system, and be compatible with Unreal Live Configurator. For a list of Unreal compatible cards, click here. Dazzle DVC 100 (and other compatible capture cards) can be found at http://www.bestbuy.com/ . It is a device that simply plugs in to your incoming camera feed (with RCA jacks) and then plugs into your computer thru a USB port. It runs around $50.
*It is recommended that you have a high speed internet connection, such as DSL or cable with at least 256kbps upstream speed. Some Internet Service Providers may limit the amount of data you're allowed to transfer, so this may limit the hours per day that you can stream your cams.
*If you happen to have a quad processor on your cameras, you're welcome to stream all 4 of your cams as 1 feed on your chat page. Keep in mind, the pictures will be smaller, as the alotted room on the screen will remain the same.
